About tbo.

tbo. is a company that was founded in Cordoba, Argentina in the year 2005.

Since its founding under the name of Spanish Back Office S.A. and up until 2009 it experienced a context of rapid growth. In that year, the company made the decision to expand and diversify its offering, which led to it changing its name to Translation Back Office S.A. This allowed the company to project its image to a wider audience, and to begin translating into a wider range of languages beyond Spanish.

tbo. was the first translation company in the province of Cordoba, and was soon exporting to the United States, France, England, Ireland, Canada and Japan.

tbo. opened its Peru office in 2011, with the aim of improving its coverage for clients located along the Pacific coast.

At the end of 2017, the company began to scout for an ideal location for establishing a base of operations in Europe. In February 2018, the Kyiv office was inaugurated.

A few months later, a similar search began for an ideal site to establish a tbo. office covering the Asian region. In October 2018, the process culminated in the opening of the Ho Chi Minh City office.

Today, the company translates the full range of materials into 100+ languages, having successfully processed over 215 million words and 192,000 individual projects for leading clients in more than 30 countries worldwide. The company is also quality-certified under standards such as: ISO 9001:2015, ISO 17100:2015, ISO 18587:2017, ASTM F3130-18 and CGSB 131.10:2017.

Charles Campbell, President of tbo.

tbo. is wholly owned by Charles Campbell. He is originally from New Zealand and now resides in Argentina.

Charles has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Auckland (New Zealand) and has completed numerous postgraduate courses in Argentina (Universidad Austral) and in the USA (Harvard University).

Charles has spoken frequently at international conferences and events in the USA, Germany, the United Kingdom and Argentina, such as the American Translators’ Association Annual Conference, the European Society for Technical Communication Annual Conference, GALA Connect and Amplify. He is also a frequent contributor to publications in the USA on fields as diverse as project management, human resources, vendor management and entrepreneurship.
